Weekend Hijinks

So this past weekend was a really enjoyable one, and a refreshing one at that, even though I am pretty tired. I started coming down with something Sunday evening. Chills and fever Sunday night and woke up this morning with a bit of a sore throat and some congestion.

Saturday afternoon I went over to visit my friend Kristi at the psychic fair she was doing over the weekend. I hadn't seen her in quite some time, we met taking a few English courses together in college at the University at Buffalo a few years back but never really managed to reconnect except for keeping in touch online. We got along pretty well as we shared similar tastes. She's a pretty interesting and unique person. I hope to keep in touch with her better in the future.

Saturday night was my friend Martin's last gig with a band he was in. A group of 6 of us went out to see him play. It was a great evening, I really enjoyed myself immensely. I got up and danced quite a bit . After the gig finished, around 1am or so, we headed over to an all night diner for some breakfast and by the time I got home it was 4am.

Sunday was a gaming session with friends and sort of a recovery day as well. We chipped in for dinner and Kathleen and Jennifer made some food for dinner and we hung out and watched the hockey game, our hometown Buffalo Sabres lost unfortunately to the Detroit Redwings. All in all a weekend I really enjoyed.
